Venta pulled on the clean, fresh smelling, ironed clothes. It was the third day after their capture. She had spent the last two days doing their laundry and ironing for all three as the Council had sent everything to Audrey"s for her, as the woman of the group, to wash and iron. They also sent Audrey"s Boarders a fresh supply of flour, sugar, oatmeal, corn, chicolet tea, milk, and cream for her larder. She followed the smell of chicolet to the kitchen where Audrey had already set out the bowls for breakfast. Audrey had informed her she could help with the dishes and cleaning, but as long as it was just the two of them, she preferred her own cooking.
