We were sitting in our usual spot,me focused on my books, and Eros annoyingly settled beside me as always.
“Usap-usapan ang pambabara mo kay Susan, maldita,” Eros teased with a playful grin.
Without looking up, I replied, “Serve her right,” keeping my eyes on the pages.
“Gosh, ikaw na talaga,” he chuckled again.
“Shut up,” I snapped, still absorbed in my reading.
Curious, Eros asked, “Bakit mo pala, sinupalpal si Susan?”
Susan wasn’t someone I really knew, but Eros said she was the girlfriend of one of his classmates, a guy named Lance. And apparently, even Lance was fed up with her. Eros even mentioned that Lance himself was the one spreading rumors about what I supposedly did to his girlfriend. What a great boyfriend, really.
