“Claudia, do something!” Janet cried out as she grabbed hold of Claudia in a panic. “You are head of Masterson Group, right?... You can get the money, right?”
Claudia shook her head. “It's not possible. The company is in a tight spot now with the deal we are working on. If we spend such an amount, we won't be able to finish the project.”
“Are you trying to say that Richard is less important than the company?” Janet questioned.
“That's not the case. Don't worry, I've already called Nathan, he will be here soon.”
Just then, Linda spoke up. “Nathan won't help us. He would see us as enemies.”
“Mom, that won't happen.”
“I'll call someone else instead,” Linda said, ignoring Claudia to place a call across to one of the men who had shown interest in Claudia before she got married to Nathan.
