“Grandma, what brings you here?” Claudia asked out of curiosity as she made her way to the door.
“Claudia, my lovely granddaughter. It's so wonderful to see you this morning.” Lady Masterson said, catching the Ripley family off guard.
Claudia glanced at Nathan, questioning if this was a dream of some sort.
Perhaps she had woken up in a parallel universe because there was no way her grandmother, who had kicked her out of the family, would speak to her in such a loving tone.
“Don't be so surprised, aren't you, my lovely granddaughter?” Lady Masterson remarked with a warm smile.
Claudia rubbed the back of her neck as she replied. “Did you take something this morning, Grandma?”
