“I see,” Claudia muttered as she received the bottle and took a sip before returning her attention to the file in her hands.
It still felt like a dream that she had managed to get back Threads so easily.
“Are you alright?” Nathan asked as he sat beside her.
Claudia stayed silent for a bit before responding. “I think so, just trying to process everything.”
“I told you to trust me, didn't I?” Nathan said only to earn a look from Claudia.
Silence followed before she spoke up. “Tell me the truth, Nathan, where have you been all these years?”
“I was fighting. Honestly, there were times when I felt I wouldn't return, but the thought that you were all waiting for me gave me the strength to keep going. I'm sorry I took so long to return, but I'm back now, and I don't plan to leave ever again
