lily's pov

I sat on the couch while waiting for them and when they came out of Lucas's study room, he did not look happy while his father and Ralph were smiling as they walked toward me

"pack your things you and Lucas will stay with me for a while," his father said and I just stared at him confused before turning my head to Lucas waiting for him to say something

"come with me, I'll explain when we reach the room," he said and dragged me to our room

"What's going on, where are we going and why do you lookups..." he cut me off by crashing his lips on mine so intensely that I forgot about what I was saying and kissed him back, we only pull away to catch our breaths

"princess we will stay with my dad for a while but only for a few months I promise then we will come right back ok?" he said while trying to catch his breath

"why?"

" because it's a tradition for the couple to live with their parents in one house before the engagement party" I was thinking about what he said when it struck me

"both families, you mean including mine" just the thought of my family in one house with me got me shaking, and memories that I tried so hard to forget came flashing back

"princess listen to me, I won't let anyone hurt you, it will be just for a few weeks and I won't ever live your side ok," he said trying to reassure me and I just nodded because words refused to come out my mouth

Lucas had the maids pack our bags and though I wanted to do it he insisted so I let them do it. we traveled by plane and when I say the plane, I mean in his private jet, anyways the trip was good and we arrived at his dad's mansion at 5 but as soon I saw them my grip on Lucas tightened and he pulled me closer and whispered something in my ear

"It's nice seeing you again sister" I turned and saw my step sister jian and as shameful as she is she already started checking out Lucas from head to toe

"I heard you got married to this handsome man, too bad you don't deserve him" she continues as she walks toward us and places her hand on his arm but Lucas immediately pushed it away and gave her a death glare

"I would appreciate it if you would stay in your lane as I am clearly in a relationship," he said as he took my hands and walk to his father.

"Finally the couple is here," his father said as he pulled me into a hug but I was quickly pulled away from him by Lucas

"I would appreciate it if you would stop touching my fiance," he said and then brought me closer to him like he was claiming me

"It's nice seeing you again lily" a familiar voice suddenly startled me and I turned to see Dave, my ex-boyfriend who left me for Jian

"And who are you," Lucas asked looking at him up and down but before he could answer Jian pulled him away while giving me a death glare

"ok enough of the reunion, you must be famished, go and freshen up then come down to eat," his dad said and Lucas immediately pulled me away to a room that I am assuming is his

"Lily how do you know that guy," he asked in a soft voice as he led me to sit on the bed

"Can we please not talk about him, he is a thing of the past that I will like to keep there" he nodded, and then we freshen up before going back downstairs

....

we were all seated at the dining table when Jian suddenly spoke

"lily so I heard that you are getting married is that true"

Rather than answering her stupid question, I sat quietly.

"Does he know?" she asked again

"know what?" Ralf asked and again I sat quietly

"can't you see that you're making her uncomfortable" Lucas angrily said and everyone went quiet

"Anyway, I invited all of you guys to my home as it is a tradition for the family of the groom and bride to stay in one house until they get married," my father said breaking the awkward silence

"oh we are very thankful for the invitation as we were worried about lily but now we can spend some time before she marries," Vivian said with a fake smile

"I don't understand what you saw in her, she is useless and ugly" I turned to face Jian when she finished speaking but before I could get the chance to talk, Lucas pulled out his gun and pointed it toward receiving scared gasps from everyone in the room

"I f*****g dare you to say one more word again, let's see if you will still have your neck attached to your head" he warned her and gave her a death glare

"you wouldn't dare?" she countered but rather than being fazed, Lucas s and brought the gun closer to her and said

"Try me"

"ok, that's enough, Lucas put the gun down right now" my father-in-law shouted and with a bit of reluctance he put the gun down

The rest of the dinner was very awkward with vivan and Jian giving me the stink eye and Lucas glaring at Dave, needless to say, I lost my appetite pretty fast and excuse myself from the room.

I did my nightly routine and went to my suitcase to find nightwear to put on but imagine my surprise when I found all the night wares I had were practically see through, I stood there wrapped in my towel wondering what I was going to do, I was so lost in thought that I didn't hear Lucas walk-in

"you ok" I quickly turned and cover myself using my hands

"I can't wear these dresses, they are too exposed" I explained lifting the dress to show him

"I mean you wore one like this yesterday so what's wrong," he asked

"no the one I wore was not this exposed " I defended

"ok then why don't you sleep naked, problem solve"

"I will not"

"come on princess, I won't peek I promise"

"no"

"ok how about I give you one of my shirts" he finally suggested and I quickly nodded as a yes

He went to his closet and searched before handing me a long t-shirt, which I quickly grabbed before going to the bathroom to change

I came out pulling the hem down as the shirt just ended on my thighs

"you look so sexy in my clothes, you know that" Lucas complimented me as he came close to me

"thanks but next time we go out, I would like to pack my stuff, so we can avoid this scenario next time," I said and he shook his head

"no, I quite enjoy seeing you in my clothes" he then pulled me on top of him as we fell to the bed "sleep" he commanded

"umm, Lucas are you sleeping?" I asked a received a no

"need something princess?" he asks as he sat up straight

"do you.." I started to ask but stopped midway as I felt super embarrassed

"do you find Jian attractive," I asked and when he didn't respond I quickly added, "umm never mind the question is dumb"

He still didn't respond and I was about to go back to sleep when he hovered over me and pinned my hands to the head bed

"Is this about Dave?" he asked and I slowly nodded but his mood quickly changed and he became angry
