Princess Ana POV
The dust finally settled, revealing my father and Amos frozen in a heated argument. I took a step forward, about to observe them when a loud sound of chains stopped me. It sounded like they were just released.
What was happening?
“You can't defeat me,” my father's voice rang out suddenly, snapping me out of my daze. My heart did a funny dance in my chest as I turned to Amos, who merely smirked in response to his words.
Wait... Was I on the battlefield right now? Another loud bang jolted me. This time it jolted me awake. I woke up sweating bullets and my breath came in ragged gasps. What a strange dream.
“Soso…” I reached out to my wolf to tell her when the door opened. A voice interrupted, bringing me back to reality.
