I pressed my palm against the one-way glass, watching Mark Rylan writhe in his padded cell. The restraints had done little to stop him—his wrists were raw meat from straining against the cuffs, his fingernails torn off from clawing at the walls. Every few seconds, his head would jerk toward the corner, his remaining eye rolling in terror.
"She’s right there! RIGHT THERE!"
