I went back to the table and everyone was still there. Evan was just about to leave and I had a strong feeling that he really just waited for me to come back.
"Thank you again, Mr. dela Cuesta," Aki said.
"Thanks to you, Mr. Cuervas," Evan said and then turned to me. "And to your lovely staff,"
Angi and I just nodded and showed our appreciation for the sealed deal. I just hope that Aki didn't notice how stiff I was. I can't let him be uncomfortable with the deal just because this guy has been causing trouble for me.
That lunch ended up in a good way, I must say. After that, we headed back to the office and started working on the truckload of paperwork there.
Overall, it was a busy workday and I was starting to think that that would be the scenario for the next years of my life.
