We were called forward for the bidding so we gathered in front of the stage that was set up for the bidding. I was excited; there was something about that part that made me giddy. Jaxon put me beside him as people gathered around. I saw men and women in their suits all lined up for the bidding of the night. All I could say was that the event screamed money and power. I know some businessmen that were present and they weren’t small time in their respective fields.
“What are you thinking?” Jaxon whispered.
“Nothing,” I said. “I was just looking around.”
“Stop looking at the men around,” He said. “You’re making me feel bad,”
