It was true. Jaxon was already there when we came. He stood up when he saw me approaching him. The waitress left and we were alone.
"Good evening," He said as he pulled a chair for me and I sat down.
"Good evening," I said formally. "Am I late?"
He shook his head. "No, I was just a bit early."
I nodded. Well, I would give him that; I don't like someone goes on a meeting late.
He went back to his seat and looked at me that it almost made me feel uncomfortable.
"What is it?" I said. "Is there something wrong?"
He shook his head and smiled. "You look gorgeous, as always."I didn't know how I would respond so I decided to just let it go. It's not the first time that I got a compliment but it felt different coming from him. Why? I don't know.
