Chapter 14 - A detour on the wayAt the same time as Vivian was headed back to her city her mentor was in his lair thinking about everything they had talked about. And about the one thing that had not been explained in that entire conversation. That one thing he had kept from her because the absolute truth was a lie and he was, after all, a liar.
Vivian called her secretary to find out if someone had called her. How strange, no one had called or bothered to contact her even though it was a work day and there were usual numerous calls with various requests every day.
It’s been a very strange day, she thought.
