AMBER POV Aaron was already at my side as I reached for the car door handle. Before I could so much as unbuckle myself, he leaned in, unclicked the seatbelt with a smooth motion, and scooped me into his arms. “Aaron, I can walk,” I protested, glaring at him, but he simply grinned. “I know you can,” he said, carrying me out of the car as if I weighed nothing. “But I’s my turn to carry you.” His cocky grin didn’t waver as he placed me gently on the porch in front of the pack house’s entrance. The cold air bit at my skin, and I shivered involuntarily. Before I could complain about the freezing temperatures, Alek was at my side, his large hand slipping around mine. He gave it a reassuring squeeze, his emerald eyes gleaming with unspoken promises. “Careful, Treasure,” he murmure
