"Dad what are you doing here" I said, my dad push me aside as he enter "I would never miss my daughter birthday". "I got you a gift" my dad said as he open the door, and people storm in."Summer", Blossom said as she me "happy twenty fourth birthday" "thanks. "By the way who all of these people" I ask her "your dad invited them". "Dad can I talk to you for a second" my dad and I head into the kitchen. Who are all these people "kids from your school" "dad I do not talk to any of these people". "If you would call or at least text me, I could of knew what to do for your birthday" "dad I been busy" "busy" "yes, I have tons of final exams coming up that I had to study for" "don't lie to me" "I'm not". My dad grab my wrist and twisted it as he pulled me closer to him. "Dad let me go" "I had miss you" "dad please let go of my wrist". My dad kisses me and he was then push off me "what the f**k is your problem" dad said. "Don't you ever put your hands on her again" I turn my head to see Janet. "Everything is fine Janet" "no it's not Summer". "She is my daughter" "she is not your punching bag, now get out" "your making me leave" "I said get out". "Summer pack your things, we're leaving" dad said "no you leave, she stays" "Summer coming with me" my dad yelled. People enter the kitchen, that great my dad is starting an huge argument. "Summer is a grown adult that can choose what ever she wants" "fine she can stay" my dad said. As my dad walk towards the door Janet said one more thing. "Your fired" she whisper "please don't fire me" "your fired, I want all of your personal stuff out of your office on Monday" she whispwr back. My dad left slamming the front door. I ran upstairs in tears, I race into my bedroom. I plot on the bed and cried into my squishy pig. "Summer" Janet knock "come in" "I told everyone that the party was over and they had to leave". Why ? "Because that was right thing to do". Janet lays next to me on bed, she pulls me into her arms. "Why did my dad had to ruin my birthday" "I don't know, but you didn't deserve that" Janet said. "My dad been ruining things for me ever since my mom died. He never got over her death" "Is this why he did what he did earlier" "he been touching on me and hitting me ever since my mom died. He said I am the only girl left in life, and I had to do what he say and I would believe him. Why would I believe him" I cried "you was a little girl then, and he was just tricking you into believing him". "Can we not talk about my dad" "sure, how about we re do today all over" "I do have a surprise for you". Janet stands, "I don't feel like getting up" "get up". I stand, and follow Janet downstairs. "Stand right here" I stand right by the kitchen entrance "you may come in". I enter the kitchen "surprise" Janet said, I stared at the beautiful colorful cake. I walk over to the kitchen counter, "thank you" I said as I hug Janet. Janet cuts me a big piece of cake "who did you have make this cake, Publix maybe" "no, I have an friend who is a amazing baker". Janet and I sit down at the kitchen counter and eat the cake. "This cake taste delicious" "this is marble cake". Janet and I just sit there and chow down on this delicious cake.
