We had been in the hospital for two days, Madelyn had healed fully but for some reason she hadn't woken up and every second that ticked by without the sound of her voice was causing my actual physical pain.
Koda's mood swings were also getting worse so I convinced him to sleep in shifts to try and get him to rest, I was already a wreck, I couldn't handle his emotions on top of mine, it wasn't as if I didn't love or care about my brother or his pain, it was just that I was already on the verge of losing it and needed to try and keep it together.
