After lunch, we finally left the Alphas and were heading back to our office when we paused and looked at each other, Maddie was using her office.
Jax pushed her door open, and we walked in. She was sitting in the corner of the room reading a book while Evelyn, one of the pack's head advisors, was pacing around, but when she heard us, she turned and bowed, but Maddie was glued to her book and hadn't even noticed our presence.
