I was still furious about what Madelyn had been through today but focused on work until finally, the day was up and I eagerly returned home.
I could hear Koda reading loudly from his library and I frowned ''Why is he reading a children's book?'' I asked Knox who rolled over and went back to sleep. He clearly couldn't care less, stupid lazy Lycan.
I went into the library and froze. What the hell was going on?
''What are you two doing?'' I asked in confusion when Madelyn popped her head out a small doorway made of sheets and her long hair fell over her shoulder
''JAX!'' She crawled out and came straight to me and hugged me
I held her close and breathed in her scent 'I missed you, how are you feeling?'
''She's fine'' Koda answered and came out of the fort
