MADELYN'S POV
Kara dragged me all over the city, introducing me to more people than I'd ever even spoken to. All of them seemed very professional and kind, but I felt like a monkey in a zoo, everyone kept staring at me, like I was on display. I could tell they wanted to ask me questions about my past or the twins and how things worked between us, but no one actually said the words out loud.
Finally, just before lunch, Kara let me go. She had a lunch meeting to go to and pointed out that I had a lesson with Evelyn to get to, and seeing as I was feeling overwhelmed with all this event planning, I was not going to argue about escaping and quickly climbed into the car before Kara changed her mind, and we drove back to the tower.
