Chapter Six: Married Life

879 Words
I've been with Sasha now for almost a year. She was finished with college and we had moved into an actual house just down the street from Kelly, so we saw more of her than before. We had fallen into a peaceful routine. That is until I had begun vanishing for a few hours a day in search of my horde I had hidden a thousand years ago. When I found its hiding spot I started the process of having it converted into money to put in what humans call a bank account. It took a month before it was secured. Today I vanished again to visit a jewelry store after I had found a rare gemstone with my horde I had forgotten I had. It was called Painite. The lady in the store nearly fainted when she saw it and after refusing to sell it I had them make it into a ring. Though we were mated, it was a common human tradition to present a ring to a potential mate and ask for marriage. I already had the band I just needed them to place the gem. When they were done she presented the ring, telling me I needed a wedding band that signified a marriage. I thought that's what the marriage certificate was for. I bought a small simple one with "I Love You" in cursive inscribed on the inside. I left the store with my haul to present these gifts to my mate. She claimed it was "just a ring" but I wanted a visible claim to everyone that she was mine. And I wanted to give her something meaningful that would be a daily reminder of how much I love her. "Where'd you vanish to today?" She asked when I returned. She was chopping vegetables, clearly annoyed. "Close your eyes." "Kovie I'm really not in the mood." I rolled my eyes. "Just do it." She sighed heavily. My mate has been very moody lately. Maybe she was with child. I honestly hopped so. The thought of seeing her belly swell with my child filled my heart with so much joy. She closed her eyes tightly as I placed the new bands on her finger and mine as well. "Open." She gasped and started crying. "It's so beautiful." She flung herself at me, looping her arms around my neck tightly. "I know you said it's just a ring but I really wanted you to have this." "Kovie this is painite. The rarest gem in the world. How can we even afford this and how did you even find it?" I simply swatted her rump and kissed her. "Questions questions questions. One, I found it a couple hundred years back. Two, we're so rich that even if we lived for a hundred millennium we wouldn't be close to being broke." She was speechless. She pinched herself several times to see if she was dreaming. I pulled her close to me as I took in her scent. Not pregnant but we could fix that with time. "So this is why you've been disappearing for hours?" I scooped her up and like I had done many times before, and carried her to our bed. I ravished her until she couldn't walk. After we were both satisfyingly covered in love bites we laid curled together. The next day we went to the human court house and made everything official. That night she sighed happily while resting her chin on my chest. "Mr. and Mrs. Warborne. You've been playing my file on Skyrim again haven't you?" "Was it that obvious?" She sat up into a sitting position and crossed her arms. "Warborne? That's my Kajits last name." I threw my hands up dramatically, causing her to burst not laughter. "I panicked." The sound of her laughter filed my ears. There was only one problem. She was mortal. I am not. As the days past she grew older while I remained the same, forever frozen into my immortality. "Your thinking about me being human again aren't you?" I smiled and kissed her lips. "Mmmm. I was right." She always knew what I was thinking. "I've been thinking about what I want to be. Theres so many things to be." She been thinking about turning? "Did you pick?" "I did. I want to be a siren." "Can they even do that?" She shrugged. "No clue, but it's either that or a royal vampire. They can fly." "Well we can go tomorrow and see what can be done shall we?" She bounced excitedly causing me to growl with pleasure. "If you'r going to bounce like that then at least mount me." She smiled wickedly while grinding her hips against mine. I lifted her up then let her slide down my shaft. After a few more bouts of lovemaking and dinner we talked about the options she had. Tomorrow was going to be an interesting day. That next morning we arrived at the transformation center and grabbed a pamphlet. They had hundreds of options. One thing Sasha saw was an experimental trial to try and create a whole new breed. I put a stop to that idea very quickly. However I was to learn that fate had already decided what my mate would be.
