CURSE BOND { . . . His Human mate . . . } Chapter 7&8 Written by Ekene favour ___ ____ "A male mate?" Eric turned to face Lucian, who stood by the window, staring blankly at the city below. "It's not so bad. It's not as if you haven't mounted a male before," he mumbled, sinking into the couch. Lucian glanced over his shoulder, his gaze icy. "I was in a rut... and clearly, he was a werewolf without a terrible personality.. like being a weak human." Eric reached for the glass of alcohol beside him and took a small sip. "Just accept it, Lucian. You've waited so long for this. It was a cursed bond, meant to either break you or fix you. Try to see the bright side..." Lucian shut his eyes at the foolish words of his closest friend, Alpha Eric—the only person who didn’t shrink in fear at the sight of him. "Fix me?" Lucian let out a dark, ominous chuckle. "He was bullied, almost killed by his own peers. If I hadn't come to save him, he’d be dead. Fragile, forgetful, asks too many questions, and cries a lot. Do you think someone with that kind of personality could be my mate and mend me? Newsflash, Eric: he can't." Eric sighed, watching Lucian pull a cigarette from his drawer, light it, and begin to smoke. He did that whenever he needed to calm down. "Perhaps you should try to get to know him better. Who knows? He might surprise you," Eric said, taking another sip of his wine. Lucian's gaze returned to the window, remaining silent as he exhaled smoke from both his lips and nostrils. This bond could either mend or break him... Due to his mistake in the pad, the Moon Goddess hated him; he knew she had no plan to redeem him. He would be haunted every night by his past—those screams, blood, and the constant shredding of his heart would forever torment him. How could a mate like Ethan fix that? Ethan felt like a torment sent to him. He would anger the Moon Goddess. He would break that bond at all costs. "I need you to reach out to Morgana." Eric spat his drink back into his cup at Lucian's order. His eyes widened as he turned to Lucian, searching for a hint of bluff, but those eyes remained serious. "My aunt?" Eric questioned, though he knew it was a dumb question; he just couldn't process what Lucian was about to do. "I need to hear from her by tomorrow," Lucian added. "Hey, hey." Eric stood, his expression resolute against Lucian's words. "I know how badly you don’t want this bond, but you have to go through with it. You can’t break it using sorcery. My aunt will decline the proposal; I’m sure of that. We’ve all been waiting for you to find the one who can mend you. Don’t do this, Lucian." Lucian shot Eric a cold glare, his demeanor shifting to something menacing. Eric felt it deep in his bones, a chill running down his spine. He might be an alpha, but Lucian's strength loomed over him like an elephant to a rat... the aura was intense, forcing Eric's head down in submission. Soon, the tension eased, and Eric felt the weight lift from him. He exhaled softly and finally looked up to meet Lucian's eyes. "He can’t be the one to replace her. Never," Lucian stated firmly, his words leaving no room for argument. Eric understood the pain that still swirled in his friend’s eyes, and he hoped one day Lucian would accept Ethan to heal him. "Fine, I’ll do as you say." Eric relented, casting a worried glance at his stubborn friend. Lucian may be close to him, but he knew better than to provoke him further in this state. This male must really hate his mate. - "Thank you," Ethan said to the doctor after his mother's bills were finally processed. His gaze settled on the nurses transferring her to another ward for further diagnosis. He noticed other doctors, the ones the doctor had mentioned had come from overseas for his mother's treatment. "I hope this works," he mumbled, pulling out his phone to call his landlord. He hesitated, recalling Lucian's deal: to live with him. There’s no way in hell that would be possible. He would have to find a job, work hard, and figure out how to pay back the ten grand he owed. He had used the money for his mother's treatment, settled the loan shark he owed, and the rest would cover his rent. Ethan sighed. "This is insane," he muttered. He couldn’t wrap his head around the idea of living with someone as intimidating as Lucian—twice his size, with eyes that frightened him. A man who had nearly killed James and his friends. He had seen the news that morning. The three boys were still unconscious in the hospital. How could he live with someone like that? He wouldn’t last a week before being drained of his blood. What was Professor Lucian, anyway? A vampire? A demon? Lucian made him feel things! How absurd—it was hard to believe he would encounter something like this. He just hoped the police wouldn’t trace anything back to him. Right! His room. Had the landlord seen the blood before packing his things? He needed to call the man quickly. Before he could say anything, the landlord sneered. "You better not be calling to plead with me; I’m about to give your room away..." "I have the money," Ethan cut in. "I’d like to pay." It was evening before Ethan finally got everything back in place. He received the key to his apartment and was pleasantly surprised to find it clean. The landlord hadn’t acted strange when he came to collect the payment. Perharps the scene was cleared by Lucian, not leaving any trace. The thought terrified him. "You better not owe me next time," the landlord muttered, his gaze fixed on the money. "Where did you get this amount of money, anyway?" Ethan froze for a moment. "M-my savings," he stuttered. "Savings?" The landlord raised an eyebrow, shooting Ethan a skeptical look that made him feel irritated. "You have your money; what else do you want?" Ethan snapped, keeping his voice steady, in order not to grow suspicious. "Nothing," the man cleared his throat. "I just want to make sure I’m not renting to a criminal. I’m off," he said, shutting the door behind him as he left. Ethan glanced over his messy belongings, most of them wet and some appliances ruined by the rain he had left them out. It was surprising none of his things had been stolen. After working for several hours, Ethan slumped onto his bed, his chest heaving. It was late, and exhaustion weighed heavily on him. His mind drifted to Lucian. The man had given him until 7 PM to return home tonight. He checked his phone; it was already 11 PM. Perhaps Lucian had forgotten... Ethan would talk to him tomorrow. He planned to work tirelessly and repay him. He shut his eyes, ready to drift into darkness and away from his worries. "Ethan Wave." Ethan's eyes flew wide open, his heart skipping a beat at the cold, deep voice that sliced through the silence of his room like a jagged dagger. The aura froze him in place. He recognized that voice and silently prayed he was mistaken. Slowly, he shifted on his bed, looking toward the source of the voice. There stood Lucian in the dark, larger than life. His glowing eyes cut through the dim light like sharp blades. He hadn't knocked. He hadn’t announced himself. He didn’t need to. His presence was suffocating, making Ethan sweat. Lucian's voice was low and venomous. "Are you simply testing my patience, little mate? Or are you just too dumb to disobey me?" ********** Ethan swallowed hard, his throat dry. He tried to find his words, but his voice refused to cooperate as Lucian's cold gaze pinned him. The man before him was beyond mad—he could feel it. "I... I didn't mean to..." Ethan quickly stood and stammered, his heart pounding against his chest. "Mean to what?" Lucian interrupted, his cold aura unyielding. "Did you think I'd let off the hook?" "No... I was going to return your money. I'll work hard and give it back to you. But living with you, I... I can't do that," Ethan said quickly, panic bubbling in his chest. "I don’t give a damn about what you can or cannot do?" Lucian raised a brow, his voice laced with irritation. "When I give you an order, you obey, little mate." Ethan's fists clenched, a pang of defiance sparking in his nerves. "You can't just expect me to jump at every one of your demands. I have my own life too... I appreciate your help, and I'm going to pay you back—" Lucian's brows furrowed. Ethan continued, "I'll work day and night to give you back your ten grand. You just need to give me a little time..." Lucian pinched the bridge of his nose. "Not only are you ignorant, but selfish too. You’ve used up all the money and ignored my demand." He chuckled, his voice filled with amusement. "I should punish you, little mate." "I'm not your mate! Stop calling me that. You said you didn't want me... so why must I live with you just so you can break the bond? It's absurd!" Lucian was amused by Ethan's argument. The boy had a bit of a fight in him, and Lucian found it amusing. He wasn't so boring after all. He stepped forward, hands casually in his pockets. "Alright then," Lucian said, tilting his head and closing the distance between them. "Give me back my ten grand." Ethan's eyes widened. Was this man even listening? And what was that amused glint in his eyes? "I just said—" Ethan tried to speak, but Lucian interrupted. "I want it now," Lucian said, a sly smile spreading across his lips as he leaned closer, his tall frame looming over Ethan. His smile widened into a grin as he watched Ethan struggle to find his words. "What? You don't have it?" "I... I don't have it now," he said, "Give me some time," Ethan stuttered, trying not to show how Lucian's closeness was affecting him. "I'm not some charity case you can use, Ethan. I'm not a nice guy. I could easily pin you to the bed and show you what kind of monster I am..." His lips drew close to Ethan's ear, his voice low. "Make you scream all night and beg for release." Ethan stepped back, but his feet collided with the edge of his small bed, making him fall. His lips parted, and his chest heaved. Lucian's words stirred something within him—something he couldn’t quite figure out. Lucian straightened, the amused smirk still on his face. "Pack up your things," he said, his tone final. "You're coming with me." With that, he turned to leave, but as he reached the door, Ethan's voice stopped him. "I'm not going anywhere with you!" The sly smile on Lucian's lips disappeared, replaced by a cold one. His aura shifted, becoming chilling as his gaze fell on Ethan's trembling form. "I'll pay you back! If you won’t give me time, then I'll get the loans tomorrow and—" Ethan’s words caught in his throat as Lucian turned to face him again, his gaze sending a shiver down his spine. "You don't know when to shut up and obey, do you?" Lucian asked, approaching him once more. Ethan's breath hitched. Maybe he shouldn’t have said that. He couldn’t wrap his head around the thought of living with this man. Ethan stepped back, staying alert. Grabbing his phone, he threatened, "Stay right there, or I'll call the police—" Lucian's hand shot out, grabbed his neck, and threw him to the bed. Ethan's phone fell, and he cast a fearful look at Lucian, who began to remove his black tie. "What are you..." "Since you can't wait to get punished. I, on the other hand, can't wait to fulfill that wish," Lucian smirked, Rolling his tie on his wrist, a crazy intention dancing in his eyes. Instinctively, Ethan dashed toward the door, but Lucian held him back. Lucian's tie was pushed through Ethan's parted lips and tied behind his head, gagging him and preventing him from screaming. Ethan struggled, but his strength was no match for Lucian. His head was pinned against the bed, his hips pulled up. He didn't stop struggling, which only angered the man further. "Stay still, or I'll s***h your neck," he warned, and Ethan froze. Not just because of the words but because of the sharp claw poised to pierce his skin. His threat was not an empty one. Tears pooled in Ethan's eyes as he shut them tightly, trembling under Lucian's hold. "Please don't hurt me," he begged, sobbing. His words were muffled and unintelligible due to the gag, but Lucian understood exactly what he meant. "That depends on you, little mate. Stay still while I give your punishment," Lucian whispered to his ear, his hold firm on his head while his second hand began removing his boxer. "Please don't do this... fine I'm sorry, I'll come with you.. just don't," Ethan pleaded. Again, just muffled sounds were heard from him. His boxer was ripped off, leaving him exposed. The memories of James and his friend tormenting him this way dawned upon him. He wanted to scream, but the fabric around his mouth was preventing it. "Your resistance surprisingly made me hard. You're not boring as you look." Lucian remarked coldly. The sound of liquid being squeezed from a bottle reached Ethan's ears, followed by the unsettling sensation of something wet touching his butt. What is he doing?! Ethan instinctively tried to move again. "Should I tie you to the bed too?" Lucian asked, his tone sharp as he eyed Ethan's defensive posture. "I might tear you apart if you keep squeezing your legs like that. Spread them, little mate." No way! Ethan screams inwardly. Lucian scoffed. "Fine, I'll just do it myself," he mumbled, and Ethan felt his callous hand grip his backside, his finger biting through his skin firmly as he forcefully parted his leg, trapping them with his leg. Ethan squeezed his eyes shut, feeling Lucian's finger penetrate him. 'Stop!' He moved only to have Lucian pinned his two hands behind him. "Struggle again, and I'll go for it, whether you're ready or not," he said, shoving his finger in and out, earning a suppresses shriek from the boy. Lucian added another finger, enjoying how Ethan's hole squeezed his finger. Ethan gasped as a sensation washed over him like a broken wave. It was strange and intense and created a burn in his stomach. His finger hit the same spot again. "Hnngh... uhm," he couldn't recognize the sound that suddenly tore out of his throat. It was overwhelming; his hold on the bed tightened, and his head spun as the sensation increased. Lucian's fingers are still shoving in and out of him, deep. "Damn, look at you." Lucian licked his lips, his hand reaching to hold Ethan's hair. He chuckled, staring at the boy's dreamy face, with tears pricking out at the side of his eyes. "Now this is fun," Lucian muttered with a dark chuckle. * *
