Chapter 11: “A Brother’s Warning: Ji-Hoon’s Cryptic Message”

Ji-Woo had been restless since her confrontation with Min-Jae. She couldn’t shake the feeling that there

was more to the story, and she needed answers. That evening, she decided to pay her estranged brother,

Ji-Hoon, a visit. She found him at his dimly lit apartment, surrounded by books and ancient relics.

Ji-Woo: (nervously) “Ji-Hoon, we need to talk. I’ve discovered something, something about our family’s

past.”

Ji-Hoon: (looking up from a dusty old tome) “Ji-Woo, you shouldn’t be digging into these matters. It’s too

dangerous.”

Ji-Woo: “Dangerous? I’m in the middle of something I don’t understand, and I need your help. Please,

tell me what you know."

Ji-Hoon: (hesitating) “You were always the curious one, weren’t you? Alright, sit down, and I’ll tell you

what I can.”

As Ji-Woo settled into an old leather chair, Ji-Hoon began to unravel a story that had been hidden for

years.

Ji-Hoon: “Our family has a long history with the supernatural. Our ancestors possessed a unique power

to bridge the realms of the living and the dead. It’s a power that both you and I have inherited.”

Ji-Woo: (in disbelief) “But I’m just an ordinary person. How can I have such a power?”

Ji-Hoon: “It’s because you’re special, Ji-Woo. And that’s exactly why Min-Jae is drawn to you. He’s a grim

reaper, and he’s connected to our family’s history as well.”

Ji-Woo: (puzzled) “Min-Jae…a grim reaper? This is unbelievable. What should we do?”

Ji-Hoon: “You need to be careful, Ji-Woo. This connection to the supernatural world is dangerous. If Min-

Jae and others find out about your true nature, it could put you in grave danger.”

Ji-Woo: (determined) “I won’t let that happen. I need to protect Min-Jae and find a way to resolve all of

this. I can’t let our family’s legacy be a curse.”

Ji-Hoon: “Just promise me one thing, Ji-Woo. Promise me that you’ll be cautious and seek guidance from

the Elder Reaper. Only he holds the answers to the balance between our worlds.”

Ji-Woo: “I promise, Ji-Hoon. I won’t let our family’s legacy consume me, but I have to help Min-Jae. Our

love is worth the risk.”

As Ji-Woo left her brother’s apartment with a heavy heart, she couldn’t help but wonder what other

secrets lay ahead, and how she would navigate the treacherous path of love, destiny, and the

supernatural world.
