Chapter 12: “Trapped in Between: Ji-Woo’s Soul Unleashed”

Days turned into weeks as Ji-Woo delved deeper into the supernatural world. Her quest to understand

her newfound abilities and protect her love for Min-Jae had become an all-consuming obsession. She

couldn’t escape the feeling that the balance between life and death rested heavily on her shoulders.

One evening, as she sat alone in her apartment, Ji-Woo decided to meditate. She had been practicing

since her conversation with Ji-Hoon, trying to harness her latent powers. As she closed her eyes and

focused, an unusual sensation washed over her. Her body felt weightless, and her consciousness seemed

to drift.

In this altered state, Ji-Woo found herself standing at the edge of a vast, otherworldly expanse. It was

neither the realm of the living nor the realm of the dead but a place in between. She was surrounded by

mist and shadowy figures, like lost souls searching for something.

Ji-Woo: (whispering to herself) “Where am I? What is this place?”

A soft, ethereal voice resonated in her mind, as if carried by the wind.

Voice: “You have entered the Limbo, a place between the realms. Here, you must learn to control your

powers.”Ji-Woo looked around, feeling a mixture of fear and curiosity. She soon noticed a group of lost spirits

approaching her, their faces filled with longing and despair.

Lost Spirit 1: (with sadness) “Help us, please. We are trapped in this place, unable to move on.”

Lost Spirit 2: “We need guidance. Will you be our savior?”

Ji-Woo’s heart ached for them, and she reached out, extending a hand toward the lost spirits. As she

touched one of them, a brilliant light enveloped her. The spirits seemed to find solace and gradually

vanished, moving on to the afterlife.

Voice: “You have a unique gift, Ji-Woo. You can help lost souls find their way. But beware, with great

power comes great responsibility.”

Ji-Woo returned to her physical body, feeling drained yet enlightened. She realized that her connection

to the supernatural world was deeper and more significant than she had ever imagined.

Determined to harness her newfound abilities and uncover the mysteries that lay ahead, Ji-Woo knew

that her journey had only just begun. The Limbo had shown her that she was not alone in this world

between worlds, and she was ready to embrace her destiny as a bridge between life and death.
