Lilian's POV
I'm extremely happy right now, that I'm going to travel.
Since a young age, I always wanted to become a traveler.
Here on our island, we don't have many visitors from the outside world.
Technology is forbidden in our kingdom.
Visitors pay so much gold and silver coins since we don't use the money on the kingdom.
I heard that they use paper money these days.
I enjoyed reading books to discover, what's beyond the seas.
" The king is here to see you"
I almost fall off my chair after I heard the guards outside my room.
I turned quickly and he approached me without smiling.
Am I dead?
" What's the meaning of this? "
He asked me harshly, I frowned my eyebrows.
" What do you mean my lord? "
" Are you a witch? "
" W, what! "
What is he saying?
" Then why I hear your voice in my sleep? "
He asked quietly, pushing my shoulder that I grabbed the table behind me.
" I, I don't know my lord "
I said quickly almost afraid, w, wait a minute.
" Don't lie to my face Lilian, if you become such a distraction for me, I'll simply get rid of you "
He strongly grabbed my chin, now I noticed the guards holding swords behind him.
" M, my aunt, she's using magic "
I said quickly and he let go of my chin.
It hurts right now.
" Let's pay your aunt a visit then."
He said then turned his face to order his guards to leave.
" Why? I mean, what is that have to do with you hearing my voice in your sleep? "
He looked at me angrily, that was my first time seeing him angry like this.
I decided to shut up.
He get out so I dressed quickly, two days until the next competition, right now I think about taking my father, mother, and aunt Retsal and her son Marco outside of the Kingdom.
But it's not that easy, I've to stuck with two stupid guards of his during the journey.

When I got out of my room, It was terrifying enough that he waited for me.
" Let's go !, Mecha, prepare the horses "
He said then walked in front of me.
I'm walking behind him in silence.

It's not my first time riding a horse, but it's my first time riding it beside the king.
I'm actually happy that I'm going to visit my aunt, but I don't know what is inside his mind right now.
Right now we're in front of her house, the king jumped out of his horse then gave me his hand.
He helped me climb down of my horse, that I almost fall, I was hugged by him.
" T, thank you "
I said quickly getting away from his hug.
I can tell he is angry without looking at him.
I went in front of him knocking on my aunt's door.
Marco opened the door happily hugging me.
" Mom, mom, Lilian is here "
He said then he looked behind me, his happy face becoming sadder.
" We pay for taxes in time! What's the meaning of this? "
He asked angrily, I looked behind me when I saw the king folding his arms, staring angrily in silence, I decided that I'll talk.
" King Elias wants to have a chat with my aunt please relax "
I said I'll not let him hurt them.
The king pushed the door rudely, points to his guards to stay outside, then goes inside.
" Hey! You can't just rudely - "
Marco stopped when the king takes out his sword putting it on Marco's neck.
I put my hand on my mouth in shock.
" Shh, I hate noises "
Elias said, I grabbed Marco's arm moving him away then Elias knocked on the door behind him.
" You may enter, Alone"
I heard my aunt Retsal voice, I am almost scared right now, he definitely wants to kill her!

Elias did what Retsal said, going inside, with his sword in his hand.
He found out an old lady, her eyes are white.
She can't see.
He put the sword near her neck, he is feeling so much rage inside of him.
" There's no need to use such violence, I can help you, I know who you are! "
She calmly said with a smile, pointing on the floor so he could sit.
" If you truly know who am I, why do you want me to sit on the floor? "
He said with a smirk, the blind lady laughed.
" It's not your first time sitting on the floor, is it? "
She begins to put fortune cards in front of her.
" What do you know about me? Did you send Lilian to control me? "
He spoke angrily almost losing his patience, wants to kill her right now.
" I did nothing, my lord, I know her bad luck since she was a baby, then I give her a gift to protect herself "
The lady said, the king finally sat in front of her on the floor, his sword still on her neck.
" What do you mean? Did you charm me? "
He asked and the lady calmly was putting three cards in front of him.
" I know since a young age, she will die by your hands, I put a spell on her voice, nothing more nothing less "
She finished talking then points at the cards.
" Choose one "
" I'm not here for fortune telling "
He said putting his sword away.
" What's your spell? I can't think of anything but her singing! "
He slapped the table angrily and the cards flipped to the other side.
He looked at it in shock.
" Oh, I can sense the power of the cards, Love, war, and tragedy "
The lady said then begin to write something.
Elias was lost for words, he never wanted to know his future, he was sure it would be extremely tragic.
But what is love doing in his fortune-telling?
What is love?
" My spell on Lilian's voice, is a protective spell, to make her singing goes inside the cruelest heart and affect it "
" Undo it "
" I can't "
" Then I'm going to kill Lilian "
He said while standing, he heard the lady behind him laughing again.
" Then kill her "

Lilian's POV
" Do you think my mother is alright? "
Marco asked me while I was walking around myself for an hour now.
" You know your mother, she's a strong woman "
I said to calm him down, but to be honest.
I'm terrified.
Suddenly the door is opened, the king got out of my aunt's chamber.
We looked inside the room, my aunt is completely fine.
I breathed in relief.
" The dinner is almost ready, why don't you stay and eat, both of you "
My aunt said and I looked behind me, stepping back quickly.
The king was right behind me without me noticing.
He gives me the creeps the way he's staring at me.
Like he is going to kill me anytime soon.
" I'm sorry aunty, King Elias is not used to common food "
I said quickly then I felt him grabbing my hand.
" I'll stay for dinner "
He whispered, I raised my eyebrows in shock.
He is what?
" Then take a seat, I'll prepare it right away "

We're sitting in silence at the dining table, meals in front of us.
Onion's soup, ribs meat, dry cheese.
The king is the only person that eats comfortably, I can't even eat while he is sitting so close to me.
My aunt and Marco were eating slowly.
" That's delicious "
He said while drinking the soup.
Mmm, did my aunt charm him?
" Why aren't you eating? Do You feel uncomfortable? "
King Elias asked me, I shook my head quickly grabbing my plate.
He smiled at me, continued to eat.
What does he plan seriously?
Is this my last meal before dying?

" Seriously why are you that handsome? "
Marco asked the king, drunk after they finished many drinks already.
The king laughed loudly, He looks like a different person right now.
" What's your relationship with Lilian? "
The king asked him.
"She's like my little sister, your highness "
" Oh please call me Elias, we're almost the same age "
I was looking at him nervously, Does he have schizophrenia?
I've read about it in the books.
That you have many personalities.
" Let's return to our manor Lilian, we have to wake up early tomorrow to buy you some dresses for the journey "
The king said with a big smile, I don't know why he's acting this way but I'll play along.
" Yes my lord "
" Oh please call me Elias too, you're my future wife after all "
The competition isn't finished yet he calls me ' Future Wife '.
I only nodded at him then I grabbed his arm to help him stand.
He looked so much drunk, that's lucky for me, I'll get information from him.
We got out of my aunt's house the poor guards were standing outside for almost 7 hours now.
I climbed the Same horse like him, he rested his head on my shoulder.
I felt so much heat as he breathes on my neck.
The guards did ask nothing, knowing their king doesn't like questions.
I decided to ask him myself.
" Are you sleeping, my lord? "
" No, I'm feeling dizzy, I'm just resting my head "
He said then hugged me from behind like I'm a pillow or something.
" What did you ask my aunt? "
I asked him and felt his smile on my neck.
" I asked her why Lilian is so noisy? "
I laughed as he said that.
" I can't believe such cruel king as you going killing anyone, sleeping on my shoulder like that, aren't you afraid? "
I kept looking at the guards behind me that were around me right now in an almost strange way.
" You're outside my castle, in the middle of nowhere, with a killer on the same horse like you, four of his guards around you "
He said that, I felt him closer, feeling his lips on my ear.
" The one who should be afraid is you. "
He whispered, I flinched before he pushes me off the horse that made me fall down on my back.
He climbed down the horse completely sober holding his sword towards my neck.
" Lilian Dimitrish, you're under arrest "
