Chapter Eight

" What was that kissing I observed between you two yesterday?" Bella inquired, her tone laced with curiosity and a hint of disbelief.

"Oh, you are unaware? We are officially dating now," Tessa responded, a hint of pride obvious in her voice. Bella paused momentarily, she was confused , "And what of Liam? Where does he stand in all of this?"

Tessa, momentarily taken aback, said , "Who exactly is Liam? I assure you, he is merely a colleague; we just happen to work in the same office, nothing more." She continued, her voice growing firmer, "You see, Bella, I have no time for any of this trouble and argument . Liam, being the thoughtful individual he is, managed to persuade Mr. Martins to grant me two days off—something that, I must admit, has not occurred in what feels like an eternity."

With that, Tessa said sarcastically "If you don't mind, I have a precious day off to enjoy, and I would suggest that you too have other commitments to attend to, dear Bella." With a resigned sigh, Bella exited the room.

Tessa returned to her laptop, typing fervently, knowing she needed to complete this story before her day off would definitely be over.

" I do not know what has gotten over Tessa lately, first we get into a huge argument and now she is off dating someone she barely even knows.", Bella said to Liam as they walked home after work.

" it is no big deal, I mean she has her own life to live. You just have to calm down.", Liam patted her back as he walked off, she had reached home .

" Tessa I am back from work ",.

" oh that's great you want to continue your lectures on why I should not be with Jude ",

" No matter how much I really want to do that, it is not that, the boss called",

" Which one, Mr Martins? ",

" No not that boss our main boss",.

" Oh my God what did he say, is it good or bad news"

" it is kind of bad, he said that Jones and the rest are back, there is something really shady and dangerous they are after and we are in grave danger. I told him that we changed our identities but he said that any criminal can still track us down and they can do it fast, really fast, this is so frightening ",

" So what do we do now",

" We have to be very careful and also I feel like Jude is Jones, it makes so much sense ",

" For the love of God Bella , Jude is not Mr Jones".

" What is your proof that your assumption is true", Tessa asked getting frustrated.

" It is all in what the boss said and what so your own explanation that John is not Jones",

" it is Jude not John and please can we just at focus on what is on ground than something so stupid ",

" I do not want you to get angry but please be careful".
