Chapter Two

Tessa moved on her bed, turning and tossing, her alarm clock has disturbed her sleep but she had to wake up.
Reluctantly she stood up dragging her feet. She turned on the light as she made her way to the bathroom.
A FEW MINUTES LATER
She is seated on the edge of her bed trying to put on her earrings, she glanced at her watch and she was still early. She picked her bag to go but discovered something her hair was a mess.
" Darn I totally forget about this bird's nest", she said settling back down in front of her dressing table. Her phone beeped, she glanced at it. Bella, her colleague was already waiting for her, she had to be fast.
She messily did her hair into a bun, she added more red to her lips and set off grabbing some bread for breakfast
she walked briskly towards the bus stop, lucky she spotted Bella who was about to enter the bus, she quickly got in.
"I thought you weren't coming to work today, why weren't you responding to my messages", Bella asked. Tessa stared at her perfectly done make up and hair, even her cloth looked nice.
" I slept late because-",
Bella cut her short,"you always sleep late, I don't think your coming to the office late will do you any good especially considering the fact that your boss is a very hot tempered man with fraying temper.
Tessa sighed, nowadays her life has been more than stressful, she recently just got this job, it was stressful and her boss wasn't making things any easy.
She shut her eyes for a little moment but was roughly awoken by someone tugging at her arm violently, it was Bella of course
" Tessa we are here the bus will soon start moving again", she said
Tessa opened her eyes and in a frenzy, rummaged through her bag for her money. After a while she found it and paid just before the bus driver zoomed off leaving her behind.
She sighed for the umpteenth time now as she looked at the big building in front of her. "another hectic day for me", she thought.
She was just about consoling herself with the lovely smell of the misty morning when to her horror she saw it, right there in the fancy parking lot was the car, her boss's car.
" You might get into a lot of trouble", Bella said as they got into the lift.
Tessa wasn't listening to her, she remembered just a few days ago the scolding she got from her boss for coming late. He had told her never to come late, she knew that this was the last straw and she might be given her matching orders but all the same she didn't want that.
It had taken her a lot to get this job so she couldn't afford to lose it within barely 3 months.
She knocked on the door and entered , Mr Martins looked up from the paper work on his desk and straight at Tessa.
"Miss Roberts you are late- again", he said in a menacing tone.
she tried apologising but her tongue seemed to be glued to her palette.
she felt like a small drop in a big endless sea.
"I'll have to deduct some money from your salary this month to serve as punishment", he said drily
Right now Tessa wished she could just walk up to him and strangle him to death.
"You may go", he said dismissing her with a mere waving of his hand
Like I want to stay she said within her self.
She hurriedly walked to her cubicle thankfully Bella wasn't there.
She had piles of paper work on her desk to give directors to sign.
A guy approached her clumsily as he mistakenly knocked her water bottle.
" watch it", she grunted.
The guy turned around, " I'm sorry, is anything wrong Tessa", The guy asked.
Tessa looked up, " I have work to do Liam", she grunted.
" Okay later then, when you're more in the mood", he turned around, going back to his cubicle.
The office mobile rang, she picked it up, " Bella I'm busy and you can call my phone not this",
" Your boss and other directors are having a meeting and you are required...now". Bella said
" I am not a director what does he need me for".
" Maybe to write the report of the meeting, I have to go".
Tessa hissed loudly, getting up.
