Tessa approached the door, she halted just in front of it. Mr Martins has called her in again, this time he sounded relaxed but she knew he meant business, she recalled from their brief conversation earlier.
she opened the door , Mr Martins was there, seated as usual and smoking
Beside him was a guy, he was tall.
" Miss Roberts, it's good to see you on a lovely day like this...", he paused as he exhaled smoke . " I am sure Liam told you about a reshuffle and this" he turned to the guy beside him", Jude is here, he is the new secretary", he said.
" Are you going indirectly sacking me or...', Tessa asked.
He laughed," Not at all, but I still can anytime, anywhere. He is going to be your assistant I figured of t that you needed a helping hand with your work since you are not competent enough manage all your duties ", he said
More like you keep on sending me Herculean tasks that are impossible to complete, she thought.
" All I want you to do is to take him under your wings, show him around . Teach him everything",
" I.... okay Sir", she said. She turned to leave, Jude followed her behind.

"So basically, the only thing I do here is to take papers to other directors to sign and as I have to always answer to my smoking boss and get no day off", Tessa said
Jude remained silent, he wasn't talking much, he just stared at Tessa.
" So at this time I usually have to go and give directors to sign paperwork, " she stood up, " Maybe you can stick around or come with me, it's your choice.
Jude stood up and followed her.
It was now closing time and Tessa was walking home with Liam.
" So who is that hottie I saw you with earlier", Liam asked.
Tessa was sil my she didn't respond quickly
After some time she said ," it's the new person you talked about, bye I think this is where we now part ways", she said as she stopped at her house. Liam walked off, his head bowed
