THE SKY was dusky, bathed in a mixture of violet and fading gold. The soft colors of the sky were fascinating to watch, but the atmosphere inside the room was nothing soft. It was full of unsaid accusations and confusion. Viktor sat on the swivel chair, watching Lena intently. His eyes were blank as his lips pressed into a grim line. He asked Magdalena to arrange the files in his study room after dinner. Lena’s lips were pressed together. She could feel Viktor’s stares, and it’s making her so uncomfortable. She doesn’t know what she did wrong, but she could feel the coldness in Viktor’s gaze. Lena was already troubled by what happened in the pool earlier. She played with Angel and Lucian was also there.
