“It has to be a false positive. I mean, I can’t be pregnant. I’ve never even had a pregnancy scare.” Here I was sitting here trying to bargain my way out of possibly being pregnant. My doctor stood there and let me continue to ramble on and on.
“Franchesca, false positives almost never happen. We could take another test but honestly, the results would be the same. Conceiving with an IUD can happen, it’s rare but possible. So what I would like to do is a transvaginal ultrasound. I’ll insert the wand and look to see if I find a sac. It’s the best option especially if you are early on in your pregnancy.”
I sighed and nodded my head. “And if I am pregnant, then what?”
“Then I will remove your IUD and go over your options. I’m going to get my assistant and have her start getting everything
