Chapter 5Finn and I didn’t speak for over an hour after that. I knew he was awake, the evidence being his perpetual channel flipping. Maybe TV was all so new to him, he didn’t realize the point was to stop on one show and pay attention. Just as I was getting interested in Suzy Orman’s lockbox or Jane Seymour’s no longer crepey neck, he’d turn to something else. “Come on.” I said it under my breath. Then, like before, when trying to move his hair, I released a hearty exhale, this one part growl. Perhaps Finn got the hint, because finally, he settled on a rerun of Laverne and Shirley. It was just starting, so I hummed along to the theme song. Finn found the rhythm to it, too, moving his feet on beat, almost dancing in his bed. It was a catchy tune, and bed dancing was pretty freakin’ adora
