In the minutes following Eli's announcement, I cried, lamented, loathed myself, got angry, and then cried some more. All I wanted was justice for Janet. It was one thing to have received a series of threats, and another thing to have Janet caught in the crossfire— my innocent Janet and unborn child… I wanted blood and knew just the person to call— someone who could give me what I craved. Storming inside I grabbed a change of clothes. “Grab Gregor and the car keys,” I instructed Eli when he stepped on it. Perplexed, he spread his arms. “Where are we going?” “Hunting,” I growled. Eli stood watching me intently with bewilderment. I didn't care what he was thinking. ”What are you waiting for?” I shot out, and he shrugged. “Nothing. I like this new change.” “Hurry the f**k up!” I groaned.
