The Port of Asa
The port of Asa was more of a fishing village than a true port. A clutter of stone cottages, an inn or two, a couple of rambling warehouses, and an ill-kept outer stone wall littered the rugged island strewn coastline of dark rock surrounding a deep-water bay. The bay itself was barely large enough for half a dozen ships to ride anchor in. Tonight, four heavy looking Roman corbita transports and two Roman navy quinquerriemes idly road the still waters of the harbor.
