Chapter 8 Strategies for Breaking the Enemy

1681 Words
Danger! The alarm bells in Godzilla's head rang frantically - if he took this set of skills, then he wouldn't be able to leave today. Fortunately, he had kept his mind and saved the Cold Breath as an emergency. The magic power within Godzilla's body was mobilized at an unprecedented speed, quickly converging within the spewing organ, combining with the special substance in it, and being spewed out. After it reached the throat, it had turned into cold, frosty air that swept Godzilla's entire body in the direction of the dragon's mouth. Even though the dragon's breath was only spat out in a hurry, it still served its original purpose - the slime instantly formed into an icy shell, and the spider silk became fragile. Seeing this, Godzilla's claws quickly pulled, and his body soon got rid of the restraints, then he casually grabbed two spider monsters and threw them to the front. The strong acid created by the magic was blocked by the spider monsters for the most part, the sound of acid corroding rang out, and the two spider monsters were corroded into a puddle of pus as they struggled. Godzilla was scared after watching this, although he had made a timely defence, he was still splattered a little bit on his body. However, the taste was not pleasant, the scale amour that he had disliked in the past but had never let him down seemed to be unable to carry it and was corroded with a few holes. If his scale amour wasn't layered and wrinkled, I'm afraid it would have corroded to the skin as well. At the same time, a pair of bone claws stretched out from the ground and clutched Godzilla's legs and feet. If it wasn't for the hardness of his scale amour, he would have suffered broken skin or even broken bones. However, after solving the most troublesome strong acid, the remaining threats to Godzilla were not so great. Godzilla held his breath and crouched down to whack the bone claw. After a couple of strokes, the bone claws quickly loosened up, but then he felt his body sink, a sense of fatigue came from all parts of his body, and his head was suddenly confused. If it was an ordinary dragon, he would have collapsed here, but Godzilla's physique was not the same as that of an ordinary dragon, and he forcibly broke free from the bone claws and stumbled out of the cave. In turn, the spider monsters didn't keep in close pursuit and didn't seem to dare to stray too far from the cave. "Whew, these spider monsters are pretty damn hard to deal with! Never thought there'd be so many of the magic-capable variety." Godzilla gasped for air and took a while to catch his breath. It wasn't until the effects of the magic wore off that he straightened his instruments and slowly paced back to the Kobolds. Doglu's originally worried heart was put back into his stomach after seeing Godzilla return safely. However, looking at Godzilla's appearance, it didn't seem to go well? "Great Real Dragon! You have returned! Those spider monsters ......" "Ahem! ...... Those spider monsters are not enough to worry about. It's just that there are simply too many of them for me to kill cleanly in a moment. I need to think of a more efficient method." Godzilla answered Doglu's words without changing his face. As a real dragon, he wouldn't easily expose his vulnerable side. Still, it was true that it was also his idea that he was going to have to find a suitable method, and he couldn't go over there recklessly like he did last time. Although the dragons were arrogant and haughty, they were not brainless and reckless. Even the most violent red dragons would use certain devious schemes, and the green dragons were the best of them. Any more ordinary spider monsters would be just a little bit of trouble for Godzilla, but those magic-enabled spider demons were a bit of a head-scratch. Not to mention the fact that the ones that appeared later were really the only ones inside? Godzilla didn't think so. Moreover, judging from the performance of those Spider Demons, Godzilla had every reason to believe that there should be a Juggernaut-like existence among them. This time, he had suffered from a lack of information, and if he hadn't consumed the most powerful Fire Breath at the beginning, then he wouldn't have looked so passive when facing those magic-capable spider monsters later on. Magic was always a hurdle that could not be bypassed in this world. Thanks to the mix of silver and red dragons, not only did it allow him to discard the disadvantage of being more easily harmed by flame and frost, but it also greatly strengthened his resistance to both types of damage. However, magic was not the only two elements of ice and fire - for other magical damage, his scale amour would not be able to resist it as well, and he could only slowly gain stronger immunity to magic as his age group grew. It wasn't as if Godzilla didn't have these kinds of spell abilities. Aside from the Dragon's Breath spell, however, those magic tricks that came with the bloodline, spells such as Light, would not help the current situation at all. If he said that he had enough minions, then it would be possible to let his subordinates consume the spider monsters' magic first. But Godzilla looked back at the scattered old and sick behind him, and gave up on the idea - it wasn't that Godzilla was kind-hearted, but that even if he brought all the Kobolds over there, it wouldn't be any help. Therefore, Godzilla changed his strategy - since a strong attack would not work, he would do it slowly. He had enough stamina and energy to accomplish this arduous task. Early the next morning Godzilla came quietly to the vicinity of the cave that was coiled with spiders. The original spider silk for guarding, which he had rushed to the ground, was once again set up properly by the spider monsters who had gone out of their way to do so. But this time, besides him, Doglu was also here. Since it's not good to hide inside, it's better to lure them out and destroy them. "Go!" Godzilla ordered as he hid behind a boulder, gathering all his breath. Doglu's legs trembled a little, but the thought that Real Dragon was right behind him emboldened him a little more. He followed Real Dragon's instructions, carefully touching the tightly taut spider silk with his hand. Perhaps it was because they had just been attacked by Godzilla, these spider monsters reacted unusually quickly. In a matter of moments, more than ten of them poured out from the cave entrance. The eyes on their bodies kept scanning left and right, but they realized that there was only a lone Kobold not far away. As for Doglu, he duly showed his panic at this point and stumbled toward the back of the boulder. For creatures like Kobolds, the spider monsters naturally remembered them well - after all, they were neighbors with Kobolds before they mutated, and they even used them as food after they mutated. However, that was a long time ago, and now they hadn't seen Kobolds for a long time. Therefore the spider monsters instantly let their guard down and separated two of them to chase after Doglu in his direction, while the rest of the spider monsters returned to the cave. Those two spider monsters were rightfully killed by Godzilla without even the slightest movement coming out. In turn, Doglu once again changed to another direction and touched the spider silk in that direction. With this kind of despicable tactic, the spider monsters that didn't have a good head on their shoulders didn't notice anything wrong, instead, they thought that there were quite a few Kobolds today! As usual, they were fooled. After a morning of fighting, Godzilla eliminated as many as twenty spider monsters, which was close to matching the number he had in the cave yesterday. Figuring that if he continued any longer, the spider monsters were going to realize something was wrong, Godzilla told Doglu to stop the seduction. Doglu was also relieved - this morning had worn him out. Especially, later on, he had to keep provoking the spider monsters to come after him. Thinking about this, Doglu felt incredibly hungry. He sat down wearily, pulled out the dried frogs he had prepared long ago and stuffed them into his mouth. While Godzilla looked at this pile of spider monster corpses on the ground, his eyes swam a little. The Kobolds' little bit of food had already been pretty much eaten by him. Food was always the dilemma that plagued him. For his own part, he didn't want to waste the corpses of these spider monsters. However, at the thought of eating these deformed spiders, in his heart he had some resistance. After hesitating for a long time, Godzilla decided to give it a try. He adjusted the intensity of his Dragon Breath and spewed it towards the spider monsters' corpses in front of him. To Godzilla's surprise, the spider monster's body gave off a special flavour after it was roasted by the flames - even Doglu was attracted by the flavour, and his saliva flowed all over the place. Godzilla tried a bite and his eyes immediately lit up. Without saying a word, he filled his mouth with the entire Spider Demon Monster. One bite down, the outer shell was crispy, but the inner meat was full of chewy texture, and with the slightly spicy feeling brought by the radiation, it was even more unique. Godzilla also found that eating the meat of this spider monster was good for his own growth - although the effect was not as good as radioactive ore, he still understood the principle of "water dripping through stone". What's more, roasted spiders smell so good!
