Love Life Crisis

The hang out

We reached Nick's house an hour later after stopping by Delan's mother's workplace,  I  just sat in the car and waited while he went into the building and emerged back out a few minutes later then made our way here in silence. Stepping out of the car as Delan parked it on the side of the road, I figure everyone was already here from seeing all their cars parked in a line on the other side of the street. I made my way to the front door with Delan following behind, he then knocked on the door before I could and within seconds Nick opened the door greeting us with a big grin on his face. "Hey, you guys are finally here...come in come in" he said in a playful tone stepping aside gesturing us to get inside, "thanks" I said giving a sweet smile as I stepped in then gives him a hug and made my way to the living room. I have only been here  two times  before but I knew my way round, I know that's bad considering he's my bestfriend. I rather to be alone reading a book than be surrounded by people. I always refused his offers to hang out, only coming here when I needed something. 

"Damn it, I forgot how big this house is, where is everyone?" I grumbled to myself looking around the living the room. It's grey and white marble tiles on the floor, big white couches at every corner but not too far apart, a glass coffee  table in the center with four single small couches around it and white curtains pulled to the side of the glass windows. "Chrissy come on, everyone's over by the pool house...let's go" I hear Nick's voice behind me, "oh, lead the way" I said following behind as we made our way down the hall then through a big glass slide door. I see everyone scattered out by the pool mostly girls in bikini's and Sammy holding one on his lap in the pool whispering something in her ear which she giggled throwing her head back in respond. I continued following behind Nick as he leads the way into the pool house, drinks were on every counter and table I laid eyes on with snacks accompanying them. Scanning the room I find Jackson sitting on a couch sipping from a red plastic cup with two girls sitting on both sides of him. 

Noticing there was no other guys apart from the four of them made me relax a bit. "So this is what you call a hang out?" I asked Nick in a amused tone, "yes, just the four of us and a bunch of girls" he responded turning to look at me with a smirk on his face. "Well...make yourself comfy I know your not a social person so I made  the first room off limits just for you if want to be alone plus don't even think about leaving until tomorrow when your mom gets back young lady" he said pointing in the direction of the room. "Thank you, I'll chill here for a few minutes" I told him taking a seat on one of the empty couches, I forgot I told him about mom not being home. "Alright, I'm around if you need me" he said making his way back out to the pool.

After I've had enough of watching girls walk around half naked and the guys lusting at them I started looking around trying to locate where Delan was, he had disappeared from my sight since we got here. "Why are you sitting here looking like a lost puppy?" I looked around to find Delan sitting next to me holding out a cup in front of me, "I was looking for y-" I cut myself off realizing what I was gonna say "uh looking to see if I knew any of the girls here" I lied instead then took the cup from his hand drinking all of whatever was in it. "Hey, hey slow down cupcake I'm sure you don't wanna get drunk" he said taking the cup from my hands with an amused look on his face, "I can handle my alcohol, thank you very much" I told him reaching for another cup but before I could he grabbed my hand, got up and pulled me with him to the room that Nick showed me earlier slamming the door behind us.

"W-W-What are you doing? this room is off limits" I said to him as he pinned me to the door giving me no choice but to look him in the eyes. "It's off limits to everyone but you cupcake" He said looking down at me with a hand around my waist. "Then you shouldn't be here" I said trying to push him away but he didn't budge, "I rather stay here and keep you company than watch those girls" he said moving his face closer to mine. At this point I could hear my heart beat pounding against my chest as if it wanted to break free, my cheeks flashed red and my eyes drop to his pale pink lips watching as they slowly parted. "As much as I wanna kiss you right now, I'm gonna wait" he said in such a low tone that if we weren't so close I wouldn't have heard him, wait on what?"  I asked. "until your mine" he responded as if it didn't take any effect to say exactly what was in his mind. "Oh yea, well keep waiting" I said pushing him away once again which he moved then made his way over to a pile of cushions on the floor taking a seat on them. "I'm spending the night here too by the way, so we can go back together in the morning" he said now laying on his back with his arm crossed over his face, "what? where? in here? no way?" I said still standing at the door. "And what if it is? what are you gonna do about it?" he answered not moving from the position he was in, "your bluffing" I said making my way to the bed throwing myself onto in. "Call it what you want cupcake but I am gonna get me some shut eye right now" he answered. "Please yourself but when I'm ready to sleep I will kick you out" I told him which he just gave me a thumbs up in response. I put my headphone on turning the music to its maximum volume to block out the music that was playing outside and let my thought take over for a while before falling into deep sleep.

Delan's POV

Waking up I looked around the room as my vision cleared up before sitting up straight and to my surprise I see Chrissy curled up on the bed hugging the pillow her head was on. I got up then made my way over to the bed standing at the side where her face was turned to. I stood there taking in her beauty and the way she looked peaceful for a few seconds before sitting next to her. "I'm falling hard for you, do you know that?" I asked in a soft tone as I caressed her cheek gently not wanting to wake her up. "You know, I may have broke a lot of hearts but if you give me a chance I promise to care yours" I told her sleeping figure before getting up and leaving the room closing the door behind me. 

"Hey man where have you been? you disappeared for like three hours...let me guest, you got one of the cuties to do you dirty?" Nick asked me with a smirk on his face as I took a seat next to him on the couch where everyone was. "No bruh, just took a nap been real tired lately" I said leaning back against the couch with my hands crossed over my chest. "Oh I feel ya, exams are pretty  tough this year" he said nodding his head before taking a sip of what was in this cup, "yea and with my mom breathing down my neck I got to put in the work, you know how it goes" I said leaning forward to get a cup for myself from the table. "Well this was fun and all but I think it's time for me to go" Jackson said getting up from the couch he was seated on across from us. "Me too" Sammy said jumping to his feet. "Hold up, so you guys are leaving the cleaning up on me and Delan alone? that's messed up man" Nick said shaking his head at them, "at least it's not you alone plus Chrissy's here" Jackson said with a wide grin on his face. "Yeah whatever man, drive safe" Nick side waving a hand in the air, "Alright, time to go ladies!" Sammy shouted waving his hands in the air gesturing for them to follow him. "Alright we are out of here" Jackson said giving Nick and I each a bro hug and Sammy did the same before making their way out with Nick behind them. "We'll clean up tomorrow bruh I'm too exhausted for that right now" Nick said before leaving, "no problem man, catch you later."

I made my way back to the room Chrissy was in after closing the front door of the pool house. Slowly opening the door I took a peek inside to check on her, she was in the same position I  left her in. I then went inside the room taking a blanket than was neatly folded and placed on an arm chair and covered her with it. "Sleep tight cupcake" I said caressing her hair before leaving and made my way to the next room that was across from hers.
