- Back at the Southern kingdom, shortly after Lena teleported with her new mates.
"Something is not right. Do not mark her yet. Get that out of your head. She's distracting us from finding Lena." Storm growled at me as I watched Sammi walk toward me with a big smile on her face. The mate bond began to pulse like a live wire when she was near. Her scent became overwhelming and left me in a trance as soon as she came to stand in front of me. I heard Storms warning, but with her here, I felt better. I wanted to take that next step and to mark her.
