I opened it at my desk with Priya standing behind me and Arthur waiting in the doorway. The subject line read CALDER PIER PROCUREMENT DECISION. I clicked.
The city had selected Northline and its developer partner, subject to contract negotiations and the vendor lease being incorporated as submitted. It also required a revised project credit page naming the full team, with me listed as lead design architect.
The award was real. So were the conditions.
