Evelyn had just finished her lunch, and already she was heading out to rescue a baby antelope that had gotten dehydrated from the brutal drought. She pulled on her sun-protective clothing, geared up head to toe, and started walking back toward the volunteer camp. A faint stench of rot snaked its way into her nostrils.
