Blackwoods Mansion.
Ethan Salvatore moved through the long, polished corridor with a sense of urgency. Despite the calmness of his stride, his mind raced. He finally reached a small, reinforced iron door at the end of the hall. Pushing it open, he stepped into a room that resembled the lair of a tech wizard.
Monitors of different sizes lined the walls. Their screens flickered with streams of data, Wires snaked round the floors, each connecting to high-tech gadgets that blinked with different colours. The faint hum of cooling fans filled the air and at the centre of this centre of this organized chaos sat Adam, a young man with messy, dirty blonde hair, tapping furiously at his keyboard. His fingers dancing with blinding speed n the keyboard and an intense concentrated look etched on his face.
“Adam”, Ethan called but the hacker didn’t respond. “What’s happening?”
Adam’s focus was unbroken. The furious tapping continued, punctuated only by muttered curses. “This bastard’s good”, Adam spat out. “No one’s ever breached my firewall before, but this bastard’s …” His eyes narrowed as his fingers flew even faster. “Got you now, you little fucker.”
“What does he want?” Ethan asked as he couldn’t understand a thing on the screen and words came as quickly as they left.
“The motherfucker is trying to gain access into Devil’s Eye.”
The Devil’s eye, one of Blackwood’s greatest asset. The high level language system can break into any illegal route and find out any information or ghost. It’s one of the most coveted asset of Blackwood Organization and there’ve been many attempt towards stealing it before.
Ethan moved closer, watching as Adam leaned in, his face inches from the screen. After a moment, Adam let out a victorious, “Ha!” and leaned back in his chair, a triumphant look gracing his face intensely.
But their relief was short-lived as the screens around them flashed red before they could fully appreciate the victory. Adam’s face paled, his eyes widening with disbelief. “This little motherfucker! How… how did he-?” He began typing frantically again, his confidence shattered.
“What’s happening?” Ethan ordered, his voice firm. “Track him! Find out his location before he does something worse.”
Adam nodded, hands shaken as he redirected his efforts. After a tense few minutes, he scribbled something on a scrap piece of paper and handed it to Ethan without even looking up. “That’s the IP address. That’s where the bastard is.”
Ethan took the paper, eyes narrowing as he read the address. Without another word, he turned and strode out of the room, his expression grim.
While Adam collapsed on his chair while sulking. He was the pride of the Blackwood’s organization. How could something like this happen? And Ethan was even watching. How mortifying!

A loud confident knock echoed through the elegant, handcrafted wooden door made of rich mahogany with intricate carvings and glossy finish signalling wealth and power. From inside, a low, commanding voice called, “Come in.”
Ethan stepped inside, finding Killian seated behind his desk. Papers and files were scattered across the polished surface and a single lamp illuminated the space, casting a warm glow on Killian’s handsome features. His tailored shirt had one button undone, revealing a hint of his muscular chest and his sleeves were rolled up to his elbows revealing his toned forearms. His chiselled jaw clenching and releasing and the glasses perched on his nose added an air of sophistication that belied the dangerous aura around him.
Killian didn’t bother looking up. “What is it?” he asked, his attention undivided; all the while glued to the documents he was reading.
Ethan cleared his throat. “We found the person who tried to breach our security.”
Killian gave a nonchalant nod. “Tell the boys to handle it. Don’t leave any loose ends”, he said flatly still flipping through his files.
Ethan hesitated, feeling the weight of the news he was about to release. “The thing is that… the person is Aaron Carter. The brother of Miss Evelyn Carter”, he said carefully, his voice barely above a whisper. “The brother of Miss Evelyn Carter.”
Killian’s fingers froze and a fleeting emotion appeared on his face. His eyes, once calm blazed with a chilling intensity. “Who?” His voice was low and dangerous, almost predatory.
“Aaron Carter”, Ethan repeated, a bead of sweat forming on his head.
Killian stared at him for a moment while processing the information, his mind working quickly. There was a flicker of anger and then suspicion in his eyes. An ominous feeling spread through him as he stared at Ethan who looked like he still had more to say.
Ethan swallowed hard knowing this was the final blow. “And . . . I’ve confirmed that the doctor had been missing for two days.”
The words barely left Ethan’s mouth before Killian shot to his feet, the chair scraping loudly against the floor. He grabbed his coat, movement controlled and precise, his face set in a mask of fury. Without a word, he stormed past Ethan and out of the office, his mind determined on the war he was gonna make with heaven or hell to find Evelyn Carter.

Killian took long strides, his face grim and cold like always but seething with an inexplicable feeling that one could not define.
It was fear. The great Killian Blackwood who instils fear into his victims was feeling fear.
Ethan tried to match his pace all the while directing him. They were heading towards the place Ethan ordered for Aaron Carter to be kept. He had a feeling things were going to be messy for a while and it was all because of a strange woman.
Sometimes even he wondered who exactly she was that she was able to penetrate towards the steel heart of his boss with only one encounter. She seemed quite ordinary from the info he got about her but somehow, she seemed to have the Killian Blackwood, someone whom whose name mentioned carries the power of a country, running with urgency and not even stopping to think when she was in danger.
It was far from amazing.
Arriving at the small room where Aaron was locked in, Ethan rushed forward to open the door. It revealed a troubled Aaron who had been walking to and fro the room but stopping to stare at the intruder.
Immediately Killian stepped in, Aaron rushed forward towards him, unaware of his identity but in desperation ran towards him. “Please, let me out of here. I just need to use the Devil’s eye to find someone. After that, I don’t care what you do to me. You can kill me or whatever but please let me just find someone. Please.”
Killian wore a menacing look on his face as he stared at the dishevelled stranger who was almost touching him while pleading. His expression were honest and there was tiredness lacing his eyes and every breath.
Ethan quickly stepped forward and held Aaron by the shoulders, forcing him to kneel before Killian. It wasn’t long before Aaron realized whom he was before.
Killian gave a frustrated sigh and rolled his eyes a bit before crouching to meet Aaron’s eyes directly.
“Where is your sister?”
