CHANGE
The contract signing was scheduled at 10 AM and would take place in the conference room of a very famous hotel not very far from the condominium building I live in. It would only take up to ten minutes of drive to reach the hotel from my condo so we opted to do the preparations here instead of checking in on the same hotel. We figured it was safer to stay in my place because the security is tighter here. Only the residents can come and go in this building, plus some guests that would be listed by the unit owners. The hotel is too public and it would be harder to ensure safety where anyone with money can come and go.
As expected, when we came down from my unit, the media people were already crowding outside the building. Even the basement parking where the van was waiting for us
