Aaron was feeling too sick to move, but someone kept bothering him... asking him to eat. He just wanted to sleep and tried to tell the person off. It took him a lot of effort to open his mouth and get the words out, but the stranger probably did not hear him, for he or she kept asking him to cooperate. Aaron did not have any strength to fight or repeat his words, so he did as the stranger asked him to. Maybe once he had eaten something, he would have the energy to tell the stranger to go away and let him sleep.
