Our story

Nandini: So, when I arrived here I settled,  next day it was the first day of college I was excited it was a new life for me. A new beginning. Here all the systems, culture everything is so different from India but I managed to adjust. On the first day, we had orientation and then lectures, everything was going just perfect each of us introduced ourselves..people knew me because there were only 5 students with scholarships. I managed to showcase to everyone I was hardworking and very sincere towards my studies as I thought that's what my identity should be.

So like that happily enjoying a year passed at college. Then the new batch came in which your dad came, I was his student volunteer so on his first day, I waited for his orientation to finish so we could have some talk. When cade came out I called him out and then the basic intro happened between us. My first impression of him was a junior, British accent which I obviously got adjusted to, smart but not so focused on studies but extremely interested in sports especially volleyball. That was it for the first meet then I showed him the college ..and about my first impression, you should ask from cade only (laughing).

Nina: Let him come from the office I will ask.

Nandini: Yes, so next, we became friends. I helped him in studies he got me to do all the weird things and I loved exploring everything.

I came to London but never traveled much just a few places nearby and in my batch, I didn't have many friends just one or two that too for work only. I think after Aakash, Cade was the one with whom I was comfortable in sharing anything or doing anything. On weekends he used to take me out to show me new places we discovered a lot of hidden places. He loved traveling and with his company I enjoyed it. He was an extrovert so he managed to become good friends with almost everyone. In his company, I also learned how to start communication so my group of one or two in my batch extended, and soon I became friends with everyone in my batch and a good friendship with 5 people those 5 were close to me.

A year passed with these amazing people. It was my last year in college and as I mentioned Cade was good at volleyball so he got selected to play for the nationals. He was too happy, he worked very hard practiced day in & night out.

Meanwhile, I was the one to wake him up every morning like an alarm clock (laughing). It was in the morning at sharp 5' o clock I called him and talked for about 5-10 min so he could wake up and the same routine followed up for 3 months straight he was busy in practice is as busy in studies we hardly managed to take out time but it was okay .so before a day of his match he called me in the night told me to wake him up in the morning also he invited me to the stadium to see his match, I said okay will see u there. Call cut.

The next morning, I called him woke him up wished him good luck for the match.

Then he had to go, I also had to get ready.

I had to arrive early at the stadium to get the front seat otherwise the Chaos, ugh.

So, I got ready called those 5 friends to meet me at the stadium. We went there luckily we got the front row seat. Then we were eagerly waiting for the match to begin.

Teams started coming inside the ground. And there comes my champion, Cade. As and when he entered we 6 screamed his name 'Cade' so loudly that everyone was mum .cade turned back and laughed. Match began and we supporters of the cade's team didn't stop encouraging him. We just shouted cade, cade, cade.

In starting they were losing the game but destiny changed they managed in the latter half and they won. Then cade became a national champion. I was so proud of him even now, I am proud of him. They were given the trophy and some cash amount I didn't remember the price but it was a huge amount. Then he came back to us, We all congratulated him, he hugged me, took a deep breath, and told me it was all worth it. I said yes it was, now have some rest enjoy your day champ. Then we all went back it was evening. we had to go to college also the next day. The next morning in the college there was another level of vibe, on every wall of the university Cade's poster was hanged and when he came to college he was shocked by seeing that and just blushing all the students surrounded him to take photographs with him. Standing at a distance I was seeing all that. He saw me and with expressions, he told, "dude, save me." I told no. It's your moment, live it, you are famous now enjoy this attention you are getting. Then I went back to my class. Slowly cade also managed to get out of the college so he went back to his place. My classes got over and I received a text from cade, come home when you are free will have dinner together. It replied okay will see u there. So I completed all my work went to my place took shower. I was happy but I was missing my family as the next day it was my birthday. After some time I went to cade's place his parents were also there they are very sweet you know that right (laughing). We all were talking, laughing then had dinner.

He then asked me to stay with him, I said okay cuz I didn't want to stay alone on my birthday night. He asked if I would like to go on a drive. I said it's never too late. It was around 10 in the night. We get in the car. He told me I will now take you to an amazing place, you will fall in love with that. I said okay sure let's see. We talked and talked about everything that happened in these 3 months meanwhile he was driving, sometimes over the phone talking to someone. Then after 2 hours, we reached the top of the mountain and that view was everything I could have wanted that night other than cade( laughingly). It was beautifully decorated with fairy lights by my those 5 friends who were already there with whom he was over the phone. They all wished me happy birthday I cut the cake. It was beautiful. We jammed, danced laughed we enjoyed ourselves. There came a moment when we were doing partner dance Cade was dancing with me and suddenly he went on his knees and you won't believe what he said next, he had prepared his proposal in Hindi, oh my god! I couldn't have believed at that time that he did that much of effort:

आज, कल अपनी आखिरी सांस तक मैं तुम्हारे साथ रहना चाहता हूं तुम्हारे साथ हंसना और तुम्हारे साथ रोना, तुम्हारे साथ नए महलों की खोज करना, मैं  तुम्हारे साथ रहना चाहता हूं क्योंकि, जब मैं  तुम्हारे साथ होता हूं तो मैं अपने से थोड़ा अधिक होता हूं

I was overwhelmed I said yes, we kissed at that fine moment everything was amazing our friends screamed for us. 

We stayed up there all night with that amazing view, our friends left us to have some time alone and I thanked them for their gesture. We sat, talked the whole night he told his story I told mine we were just we at that moment. When I said yes to Aakash, I had no idea what I was doing but with Cade, I knew it was real and it was love.

He held my hands all that night and every 10 minutes he kissed me( blushing).

He told that he was in love with me from the day I woke him up every morning. I said it's silly (laughing). The night was over but it felt like a minute.

Now we had to go back to our normal life.

He dropped me first at my place then went back after kissing on my forehead. I went to take a hot shower and it was such a good time, I was happy. I just didn't have to pretend about anything. Then got dressed up, went to college, was attending my lectures meanwhile Cade was standing at the door and was giving me a flying kiss, thank god! The professor didn't see him( laughing). Classes got over and we were told it's our graduation farewell the next day. We all were excited. When I told Cade, he was sad about not being able to meet me in the college after tomorrow. I said it's fine babe we can meet outside. He kissed me. He was so obsessed with kissing me, god! The next day for graduation I got ready, I wore a saree for the first time in London, which I brought from India to wear on this day.

Nina: Oh! Yes mom that saree photo of yours is from graduation only right?

Nandini: Yes, yes.

Nina: You were looking so beautiful in that pink saree with black bindi and those pearl earrings in your long open hair. No doubt why dad fell in love with you.

Nandini: Shut up! (laughingly).

Nina: So what happened next?

Nandini: My friends came to pick me up and they were just shocked to see me in a saree as I never wore it they complimented me all the time till we reached the college then we went to the college. Everyone's eyes were on me, I felt awkward for a while and from nowhere Cade came from behind held my hands, and walked with me, I felt a bit relaxed. Cade didn't utter a word he just walked me to my seat and went back. After some time graduation ceremony got over we enjoyed it as we finally got our degrees. I was topper again and I was so proud of myself that in some other country I am doing good but I was missing my parents to see their daughter getting graduated. Also, I didn't know why Cade was not saying anything he was just staring at me standing at a distance. When it was time to go back home Cade came and asked may I drop you? I said yes definitely. We went towards his car we sat. I didn't know what he was doing and he didn't even speak anything the whole time. I kept asking him what happened? If anything was wrong but no response. I was getting irritated but waiting to see what he's gonna do. He drove me to his home and not mine. Told me to step out. I went with him. We entered the house he closed the door. I went to the kitchen to have some water he came from the back hugged me and unknowingly the glass dropped off my hands it broke ( laughing) oh my god, he scared me that time. He simply said, "Nandini will you marry me?" I was shocked because I wasn't expecting him to say so after his mouth mum all day. I asked are you okay from where did this thought come to your mind? Cade said, look at you girl, darling you are beautiful! I am out of my mind after seeing you today and the only thing I can think of right now is doing s*x with you. You are adorable your eyes, lips, hair, every inch of your body; I just want to hold onto it for a lifetime. So will you marry me? I said yes, I was blushing the way he expressed everything. We kissed, he lifted me up in his arms took me to his bedroom he was so confused about how to open my saree(laughing) but eventually he did. We did s*x for the first time also it was individually our first time and it felt so right everything was pure with no wrong intentions.

We slept naked and after some time the bell rung it was his parents. Cade went to open the door. I somehow managed to dress up quickly. I went downstairs and even his parents were mesmerized after seeing me in a saree. Cade told them about us. They were like we knew and we don't have any problem.

But the real problem was with my family because Cade is 3 years smaller than me and in Indian culture, we are not supposed to marry someone smaller in age though now the time has changed. But somewhere I was pretty sure that mom and dad would agree after meeting Cade.

We both were happy and now we both were waiting for his graduation to complete so I could tell my family. For a year, I got a job as a psychologist so I got in there while cade was still completing his law degree. Soon a year passed he graduated. I called my parents to London told them about Cade they were against him for a while as they thought I would settle here and will never go back to India. I explained to them we will visit every year. He agreed and then we had a grand marriage first we married here the Christian way and then we all flew to India to get married in an Indian way, it was a grand wedding Cade and his parents were stunned seeing all the culture and tradition followed there. We all were happy. After marrying in India we flew back to London. He also got a job as a legal manager, he worked for a while then left it after having some savings to do his own startup. Thankfully, it worked out then I was pregnant you came into this world Cade cried holding you for the first time in his hands he did everything for you then after 2 years, Raima came. Our family was complete.
