Ritchie expected that Fitz leaving with Blaser would dissipate the stifling tension in the room. It was only after the door shut behind him, cutting off the furor from the cavern full of giddy cadets beyond and leaving the darkened office in pleasant silence, that she realized the tension remained.
It was coming from Moreau. And it hadn"t just been directed at Fitz. She had something she wanted to say to Ritchie as well.
But Ritchie kept her attention focused on the tablet. She was about to try reconnecting a fourth time when Moreau gently reached across the desk to pull the tablet away from her hands, closing the top and setting it aside. She wasn"t angry, but she had a very intense energy. Ritchie knew there was no ignoring her when she was in this state.
