Chapter 11

"Which house do you think I'd belong to?"Ryder asks as I get up to switch from The Prisoner of Azkaban to The Goblet of Fire. He fell asleep with a half hour left of the third movie last night. I smile to myself as I remember clearing off the bed of the snacks and water bottles, shutting down the TV and lights while his little snores filled the silence. I snuggled behind him and wrapped my arms tightly around him while nestling my nose into the nape of his neck. It was probably the best sleep I have got in a long time and waking up the next morning still snuggled up was even better.

I was slightly surprised at the fact he was not in fact "handsy" during the movie. He was just super focused the whole time.

"Uhhhh..."I said tapping my chin thinking. "I'd have to say Ravenclaw, you're filled with wisdom"

"Awww but then I'm not in the same house as you" he pouted and I chuckled.

"If it makes you feel better you do have slight Slytherin traits so you could classify as a Slytherclaw" I shrugged while scurrying back to the bed and grabbing the remote. I felt his arm around my waist as he pulled me into him, making me the little spoon.

"Nah, I'll take Ravenclaw"

"Well I could be wrong, you should take the online quiz"I told him while looking over my shoulder.

"You're such a nerd" he smiled

"You wanna know" I said with a shrug "Play?" I asked and he hummed an approval while settling his head against mine.

We spent the whole day switching off and on of who was big spoon and who was little spoon while we watched the movies. Once the final movie ended, I asked his opinion of the movies.

"They were good, I liked them alot" he told me as I turned in his arms to face him.

"Reading the books first would've been better but at least you now know why I like them so much" I beamed and he chuckled.

"Indeed I do"

"Oh, I have Halloween costume ideas"I mentioned, while fiddling with the collar of his shirt.

"Oh yeah? Do tell"

"Either Cat Noir and Mr.Bug aka male version of Ladybug orrrrrr Pikachu and Ash"

"Hmmm I think you'd look very sexy in cat ears" he said while looking at the top of my head like he's imagining them " But I like the Pokémon idea the best because Pikachu, I choose you" he ended with a wink.

"Well aren't you full of flirty sayings" I laughed.

"Of course, gotta keep them coming" he winked again "Flirt like you're trying to win them even when you're already with them"

"Good motto"

"Indeed" he replied then silence overtook and our hands found each other. We connected each of our finger pads together.

"What kind of house do you want to live in when you're older?"I asked out of the blue.

"Oh, uhm hmmm I'd have to say a little house on some land like a cozy cottage or something with no close neighbors, at least three bedrooms, a pool for the kids and maybe a hot tub cause those are fun" he replied thoughtfully and I stared at him in surprise. He looked at me and gave a funny look. "What?"

"I just thought you'd say something different" I muttered

"Like what?" He asked, quirking an eyebrow.

"Like...something fancier?" I said unsure and he chuckled.

"I'm not a pretentious snob Matthew"

"I never said you were"

"It's implied, but it's okay. I understand why you may think that with getting my dad's company, yacht, nice cars,etc." he stated while interlacing our fingers "But that's not entirely me. I accept the gifts because that's how my father shows his love" he shrugs "Well the company is getting passed down either way so that doesn't count" he chuckled.

"I understand" I nodded.

"What about you?" He asked.

"Well it'd be cool to build my own home how I want, ya know. That would take alot of money and time but it'd be worth it."

"Tell me about your dream home, Matthew" he smiled, laying our hands down while his hazel eyes bore into mine.

"Modern style, with a fountain pond in the front with a beautiful cobblestone path to the stairs. A huge kitchen.."

"You cook?"

"Well...not really, but I want to learn. I make a mean Chicken Alfredo"

"You'll have to make it for me some time"

"I would love to" I beamed and he smiled in return.

"Continue" he softly says.

"Okay, uhm so big kitchen. A big dining room with one of those long tables to accommodate holiday get togethers."he nodded in agreement "At least four or five rooms...I kind of would like another kid eventually" I admitted with a blush. I know it's a bit premature to say that considering I don't know what it's like with the two yet but in my head I always wanted three or four children.

"A comfy living with a fireplace and a TV above it, a big backyard with a pool" I smirked at him "Although you know what would be dope. If I had a house like the Flynn's in The Kissing booth, where I could jump off the ledge into the pool"

"That is so dangerous" he said and I snickered

"Touche but anyway, then to finish outdoor seating with a nice grill for summer cook outs.....that is my dream home" I finished up, happily.

"That sounds like the perfect home, Matthew"

When he says that, I have a flash of a future where he is there with me with our children occupying the home I just described. A warm, fuzzy feeling ripples through my body and I blush from the thoughts. It's too early to be thinking like that. I mentally shake my head and refocus my attention to the handsome man in front of me.

I am still bewildered by the fact I am in a relationship with a man. I just never thought I'd find another man attractive in that way until Ryder of course. I admit at first, of course, it wasn't like that. The flirtation definitely spiked an interest which made my eyes open to see him that way.

"Where'd you go?" His voice cuts through my rambling thoughts.

"Just thinking" I state.

"Penny for your thoughts?"

"You're handsome" I blurted then felt my cheeks heat after realizing what I just said.

"Why thank you, you're not so bad yourself" he laughed then kissed my nose before bringing our lips into a slow kiss. No heat behind it, no tongue. Just a simple and loving motion of our lips together. Once we part,, I nuzzle my face into his neck.

"We should eat then go to sleep" I said while popping my head up to look at the time on the alarm clock on his nightstand. It read 7pm.

"I could order pizza?" He offered.

"Mmmm sounds delicious" I hummed.

"Alright" he kissed my forehead before turning to grab his phone off the nightstand and tapping the screen to order the pizza.

After ordering pizza, he offered the shower to me first so I took the opportunity and then he showered. We ate our pizza then fell asleep, snuggled together like we had the night before.

I left his place the next morning and ended up telling Hayden where I actually was all weekend. Good thing though because I guess Brandi and him were spending all weekend together too.

The next few days was turning in assignments and getting more from my classes. Now it was Thursday and I'm sitting on my bed doing homework when a video call coming in from Amber appeared on my phone screen.

"Hey, are you at the doctors?" I said after swiping to answer.

"Yeah, I'm with my mom" she replied while turning her phone to show her mom sitting next to her.

"Hi Mrs. Smith" I waved.

"Hello Matt dear, how are you?"

"Doing good, how about yourself?"

"Oh, same old same old" she flicked her wrist with a smile. The sound of a door opening and closing came through and Amber looked up at whoever entered.

"Hello Amber, and I assume you're mom?" Dr. Gables asked and Amber's mom hummed a yes.

"Alright, let's get into it" there was the sound of the keyboard clicking before she spoke again. There was a soft knock on my dorm door before it opened, revealing Ryder coming in. I gave him a quick smile before turning my attention back to the doctor speaking.

"It looks like the clot is now slightly less than half the size it was. That's good news, we will still keep an eye on it as the babies progress. Keep taking it easy and before you know it, those two will be out in the world" Dr.Gables finished chipperly. Amber gasped and started to cry.

"That's wonderful, I'm so happy!" She sobbed on the phone. I felt bad I couldn't give her a hug but then the screen was black and her mom was telling her how happy she is about the news as well.

Eventually Amber calmed down and finished with the doctor, scheduling the next appointment for next month and then she asked if I would go and I told her of course. Then we said our goodbyes.

"That's great news Matthew" Ryder said happily as he plopped down beside me on my bed.

"It is, I'm so glad they are going to be okay" I said while leaning against his side. He kissed my temple while wrapping an arm around me.

"Whatcha working on?" He gestured to the books and notebook on my lap.

"Physics" I sighed.

"Oooh fun" he said sarcastically and I snorted.

"Oh! I have our costumes for Saturday" I grinned and got up, shuffling to the closet to grab them out.

"Voila!" I presented the costumes to Ry and he looked at me amused.

"I can't wait to see that on you...You're going to look so adorable" he chuckled.

"Damn straight" I nodded my head once.

"Ehhhh not anymore" he smirked at me and I rolled my eyes.

"Jace said Dakota and him will be coming tomorrow" I notified him.

"Yep! They told me already so I can get the blankets and pillows out for the futons. Landon and Peyton are also coming" he told me.

"Have you met Peyton yet?" I asked curiously.

"Yeah, once before college started. He's very nice" he smiled. "We're going to have a good weekend" he captured my waist in a hug and pulled me on top of him as he laid backward on my bed.

"Let me put these away" I giggled while squirming to stand up. He pouted.

"Fine, then we will finish your homework and go out for a date night" he said and I smiled.

"Deal"
