CHAPTER 2: A CALL.

When thinking about who to get help from, someone came to mind- her classmate Dora. Dora and Tiana were never close, they were just classmates and greeted eachother from a distance.

Talking to Dora was making her uncomfortable because they were never close. How would she talk to her?. She discarded the thought of talking to her immediately and looked for another alternative but there was a problem.

Tiana doesn't have friends. She sacrificed her social life for her education and the only friend she has is no longer in the country. With that, she had no choice but to talk to Dora.

"But how will I reach her?"Tiana murmured to herself. An idea came up-her year book!!!. This book contains all the contacts of her classmates, it was given to them when they graduated from high school. Immediately, she went to the desk in her room, where she kept all her books and searched for her year book and found it. She was so relieved when she found it because it has been a long time since she saw it. When she brought out the book, it was super dusty. She dusted it and flipped through the pages looking for Dora's name. After searching for five minutes, she found it and saw her phone number. She was about to write it down when she had thought,"What if she changed her phone number?. How will I reach her?". But she deleted the thought by advising herself," Be positive, always be positive. Just try the number, you can't just decide like that?".

She wrote the number and summoned the courage to call.

When the number was dialling, Tiana was praying silently for her to pick up. Surprisingly, she picked up-this made Tiana relieved.

"Hello, is this Dora?"Tiana asked.

"Yeah, this Dora. Who is speaking, please?"Dora asked.

"This is Tiana"she replied.

"Tiana?. I know a lot of Tiana's. Please be clear."Dora replied.

"Ok. I am Tiana Desmond, your classmate in high school. I am clear enough?"she replied.

"OMG!!!, *Tia. It has been a long time, how are you doing?"Dora replied with excitement.

"Why did you call me?.Is there any problem?"Dora added.

"No, there is no problem. I just called to greet you"Tiana replied. She was so scared to ask.

"Is that all?"Dora replied. Tiana had no choice but to tell her why she called. She put up the courage to ask,"Please Dora, can you help.....or do you have anyone who is in the city?. I am looking for a job there"Tiana asked reluctantly.

There was a long pause on the phone, which Tiana was uncomfortable with. After a while, Dora replied,"Babe...why were you scared to ask me?. I won't criticize you. Next time, ask me anything. If you don't ask me, why are we friends?"Dora replied. Tiana thought in her mind,"Friends?!"she was shocked.She never knew Dora saw her as a friend, this made her happy.

Dora added,"I have someone I can introduce you to. This person is my aunt, she can help you and she is very nice. You will surely find a job, if you don't mind the type of job she might find but I will personally look for a decent one for you. You don't have to worry about the processing, I will sort it out. Okay??"."Don't worry, everything will be fine"Dore reassured her. Tiana had a huge relief and thanked her.

"You don't have to thank me. Anytime"Dora replied."When the processing is done, I will reach you"Dora added.

"Thank you so much. I really appreciate it"Tiana replied.

After so many conversations between them. The call ended.Tiana was really happy and over the moon and she used the rest of the day with satisfaction.
