The knock on the door is a welcome, if surprising, distraction. I’m even more surprised to find the man standing on my front porch. “Chase?” As soon as the name leaves my lips, I know it’s wrong.
His smile is tense as he shakes his head.
My eyes go wide. “Jason?”
Shock passes over his features. “He told you about me?”
“Well, sort of,” I nod. “He failed to mention you and Chase are twins.”
He sighs a resigned sort of sound. “I think there’s probably more he’s neglected to mention. If you’re going to be our future Luna, I feel you should know what you’re really walking into. Can we talk?”
I study him for a minute before turning away from the door, leaving it open so he can come inside. “Can I get you a drink?”
