After breakfast, Ryeka was adamant about going back to her place. I was equally adamant about her staying in the packhouse where I knew she’d be safe, so we compromised and she went back to her place with Tyson. Paul and Ryan were interested in checking out the training facilities, so they went with a couple of my guards for the full tour. I don’t know if they’ll decide to join my team, but after yesterday, I’m willing to trust them.
I tracked down Chase who was in the field with a crew trying to repair a cell phone tower. “What happened? I was trying to get ahold of you all afternoon yesterday.”
“Sorry, man, I’m not sure,” he tells me as I join him. “They say it looks like somebody put a small bomb on the receiver. It’ll need to be replaced.”
