I couldn’t get out of Chalinex fast enough. Detective Pearce had been out when we’d stopped by the precinct. I’d left Jericha with Jonah, writing up a missing person report. A quick stop at the PGPS to grab my new deliverables and I was out of there, heading towards Otto’s as fast as I could. With Jericha by my side, I hadn’t been able to tell Jonah much of what had happened with Lyell, and frankly, I didn’t care. I just wanted to get out of there. Chalinex City gave me the creeps.
