I’d just started to step around the corner into the main hall when I heard the shouts. Someone was all kinds of riled up. I wasn’t going to test them. I raised my hands by my shoulders, palms up, and shrugged. Once they saw I was ket, raised hands weren’t likely to make them feel any better.
