Jameson's POV
Tears streamed down her face, and each one that fell twisted something deep in my chest. In all honesty, I was elated when she told about her ex. But I had no idea on what to say or how to react.
Seeing her this hurt because of my silence was shocking, I never knew she was hurt to this extent.
“How could you do that to me?!” She shouted, her voice breaking as she took a step closer. I clenched my fists, forcing myself to stay still as she lashed out.
“I opened up to you, Jameson! I told you what could ruin our marriage. I told you I chose you over him. And what did you do? Nothing!” Her voice was shaking, filled with so much pain it was unbearable to hear.
My chest tightened as I listened, each word sinking in, but I didn’t stop her. I let her get everything out.
