When morning came, the ceiling panels had brightened again. The village was buzzing with activity as Elori hurried from home to home. Some were helping to see their guests off. Others were preparing for the inevitable backlash that would come when the Overseers discovered that their cousins had sided with the humans. A Small platoon of Elori carried those staff-like weapons up to the balconies at the edge of the cavern.
