The blue barrier of Lacotl's cell shattered under Aihi's will. Solid ki crunched and water rippled beneath her boots as she advanced on the kan'thir.
He swung there, a sneer warping his goatlike features. "Your move."
Crimson and azure energy curled around Aihi's fingers, the two opposites of the emotions roiling inside her. Reason and hatred. The elements lashed against each other, sparking until the blue consumed the red.
"My move is simple," Aihi said. The rope of ki coiled up her arm and activated her irezumi, hot against her flesh. "Only one of us will leave this room alive."
